All materials on this page, which illustrate technical configurations, are not part of the game content and do not match the real assets, but have been independently created for demonstration purposes.
Material setup
It was one of my first tasks on the ‘Into the Radius’ project. Due to VR, especially on standalone devices, we couldn’t afford expensive volumetric effects with fog and light, so I was obliged to use the simplest tricks possible.
Here is an example of what a material with two moving noises to create a God Rays effect can look like:
